Wednesday-Galveston

Around 1 o'clock we left for Galveston. Visited Bishop's Palace. Then went to the "ocean". As always Claire loved it. I didn't get wet this time. I think Alasdair had a good time there. :) He left Wednesday evening.

Hope yall enjoy the photos!

PS. Sorry I don't type much. I guess I often feel like people would rather look at photos than hear what I have to say. :) Also, I don't have much time to type. I think it takes up a lot of my time just posting the photos. Smile.

Kemah Boardwalk.

On Monday night Alasdair took us out to eat at the Aquarium. Mark, John and Sam went as well. Claire totally enjoyed the fish in the tanks. Hmm, I think I enjoyed it too. Once you have a kido, you become one yourself (that's me anyway!) We all had dessert as you can see. We rarely each have one to ourselves!! I guess John and Sam shared and Carl and I shared. Still, there was a lot of desserts on the table I thought. After we ate, we walked outside a little. Oh wait, Carl pushed me and Claire in her stroller. I was tired and stuffed. We had a good ol time.

I tried to keep the hat over her ears, so that's why it looks like this.

Alasdair,Mark,Carl and Claire.

The "M" stands for Mark (j/k). No, it was something like "millennium capachino". (I'm frustrated--duno how to spell that-I'm sure one of the boys will be telling me). I think the one with the pink sorbet is a cheese cake. The other one was Alasdair's--duno what kind of dessert he had. Mine is the one with the green "grass". It's a key lime pie.

Thanksgiving

Yes, it was great. Carl made his famous chocolate pudding pie. I'm always impressed with his cooking. The pie was just too delicious. Anyway, I better stop talking about my husband and go on to how the party went (briefly).....

It started at about 1 o'clock in the afternoon.
After we ate, the guys played crocket outside. I wanted to go out there, but it was a bit cold for Claire. The grass was wet, too. Though, I was out there for a wee bit. The guys decided to go to Jack Brooke's Park. Some said it was boring. I think others had fun. Hayley and I stayed at Mom's . I took a nap with Claire (ooh did that feel good!).

After the guys (Care and Leah went too) came back, we had another thanksgiving meal for supper. :)

Home again.

I'm still trying to tell myself that it's OK to travel for long periods of time (this one was "only" 4 hours). I know if Joe and Care see this, they're gonna think I'm crazy. Ah well. I've had this problem of traveling--I get claustrophobic. Anyway, on to our trip...

We arrived Pedernales Falls round 9pm . There were so many things we had to get before we left. I wasn't even thinking about all the stuff we needed at Walmart. Carl went shopping for me-my wonderful man. I never ever would have thought about oil for cooking, foil, tin pans to put things in over the camp stove or fire, the list goes on. He got just about everything we needed. We got there, set up our tent that fits 4 and you can stand in it (that's something I wanted esp having a baby-I can imagine it getting alil frustrating in a too tiny tent). Went to bed.

Carl made breakfast every morning. I know, I felt like I should have, but I had to watch Claire. And we know that Carl would rather do the cooking anyway. ;) We had such wonderful DELCIOUS meals!! However, we were ready for some of our "home food" that includes GREEEEENS!! On Wednesday night we had hamburgers. Those were a hit with me. Hehe :D Afterwards we had s'mores without graham crackers. :) Still good.

We fished, did alitttle hiking, I waded through the water and Carl swam. On Wednesday afternoon, it was pretty hot and I knew Claire needed to have her nap. We couldn't stay in the tent coz it was way too hot. So we got in the truck and drove to the swimming area. By that time, she was asleep...just what we were hoping for!

We had sooo much fun! Glad we're home, though. There's a time for everything. I have this thing where I get emotional when departing somewhere or when people are departing me. I got that thingy when we left the camp site.

On our way home, we visited another camping place called Buescher Park. I think that's where I want to go next time!! Carl fished there and caught one! A wide mouth bass. Is that what it's called? I'm excited about getting into camping!!

Look at that proud lil look of hers. That knief isn't really sharp. Of course, I took it away pretty quick, so don't worry. :)

Taken on our way to Pedernales Falls. Yes, you see White Cloud disposables. Yuck. I couldn't stand using them. At one point when she was in the water, they filled up soo much, they ripped and I could never retrieve all those "gelly things".

Carl cooking breakfast. We had sausage, eggs, & peanut butter and jelly sanwiches. Yummy!
Heading to the fishing area. Claire reminds me of a frog.
She *is* smiling--I'm sure you can tell.
She LOVED walking around!!!
Yes, this was taken in the morning. You can see "wake up eyes" (as I call it lol).

"Bye bye!"

Waiting for Carl........

Yes, I posted that we're going camping a few hours ago. :) Hehe. Well, Carl is trying to get some work done before we go. Well, it just might be work he has to do anyway (after all, today is a work day!) I've basically got everything ready to go. I'm getting really excited about it!

Anyway, while I am waiting I've decided to post a few things. I got a kick out of Claire today--blowing her nose!! I'm so glad I got 2 photos of that. Lately, I've been blowing my nose coz I've had a cold. I guess that's where she learned it.

The loaf of "bread"....that's my moms recipe. It's totally healthy! No oil and no flour. Yep, that's right. The "oil" is the pulp from my juicer. The "flour" is stuff Mom made: brown rice, millet, felt, and something else I can't remember. Good stuff. :)

Claire is very tired right now. She didn't take a very long nap this morning (30 mins?) Usually it's for about 2 hours. She takes another one at 4pm for about 45 mins.
